After examining our work and sitting through 12 presentations, the fashion designers have announced the work they would like to use for the show. Everybody put major time and effort into their project and I can honestly say it all looked spectacular. People came up with concepts and ideas I’ve never seen anywhere before, so at this level already it shows we have some amazing graphic designers on our team. The two peoples work who was selected was Jack Templeman and Kieran Todd (me), we’ll be putting in some work over the Christmas period as will the rest of the team! Bedford College Fashion show: January 25th & 26th 2012 at 2pm & 7pm both days, will you be there? AF06.

Today we had a mad rush to hit our deadline for our presentations. The designers sat up close and in the front row through 12 presentations. We showed them mock ups of invitations, flyers, leaflets, tickets, slide shows, sandwich boards, projected imagery; you name it and it was there. Some very innovative ideas were pulled out of the bag today showing how out of the box people have been thinking. It was enjoyable to watch everyone present and take constructive criticism on board in a positively. I’m not sure it could’ve gone better than it has today and we’ll find out who’s work will be selected very soon! We’ll keep you updated. AF06.

Next tuesday we will be presenting our final ideas to the fashion designers. Everybody appears to be enjoying themselves and helping each other out. A few of us are well out of our comfort zones which is proving very challenging and if I’m honest but its how we may have to work often as designers. Straying away from what we consider to be the normal can only teach us things we don’t know. AF06.
